WCXM v21.2 update includes Alfresco, Hippo, Enonic, and Sitefinity

In version 21.2 of our Web Content and Experience Management (WCXM) evaluation report, we’ve updated evaluations of Alfresco, Hippo, Enonic, and Sitefinity. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s happening with these vendors and their Web CMS products:

  • Alfresco has left the Web CMS building, as the vendor finally dropped all intentions of stretching beyond its familiar Document Management grounds. Surely, some confusion will persist for a while, but we're here to answer any of your questions...
  • Hippo – this Dutch Software Belt vendor is trying to grow beyond its techie, geeky ways to a more rounded product, with new hires, new clients, and new R&D development.  But in North America, at least, Hippo still lacks firm ground under its feet.
  • Enonic – this Norwegian vendor has been moving at a rather glacial pace, with its most notable news around licensing, specifically its split into the community and enterprise editions.
  • Telerik is still addressing its Sitefinity CMS' content deployment weaknesses via its Site Sync functionality, but the vendor's attention span continues to spread far and wide, as illustrated by the introduction of home-grown email marketing tools into the CMS.

As always, our WCXM stream subscribers can download the entire report, or just individual chapters, and all the relevant comparison charts immediately. For those of you not familiar with our evaluations, go ahead and download a free sample here.
