Text miner Inxight to team with Google

Google has landed as an influential partner for its enterprise professional program. Inxight Software -- a spin off of the famed Xerox PARC -- has been a key provider of text mining technology to SAS Institute, U.S. federal agencies, and Clear Forest, among others. Inxight offers a search solution based on Intelliseek technology, which it acquired about a year ago. By joining Google's enterprise professional program, Inxight will presumably tailor its entity extraction and visualization tools for users of the Google Appliance. Inxight's management, which includes the much lauded Ramana Rao, chief technology officer, is long on engineering acumen. Inxight clearly hopes to popularlize its technology more, but in any event, this new addition to the Google ecosystem provides more evidence that the Google Appliance is having significant impact on the enterprise search and retrieval market.

Our customers say...

"I've seen a lot of basic vendor comparison guides, but none of them come close to the technical depth, real-life experience, and hard-hitting critiques that I found in the Search & Information Access Research. When I need the real scoop about vendors, I always turn to the Real Story Group."
